I managed to work out a payment plan with a gentleman on another forum on this Les Baer SRP (swift response pistol) he ordered two exactly as I would have ordered it, he carries one and is selling me the extra NIB pistol. Single side tactical safety and no front cocking serrations with a 30 LPI checkered mainspring housing, Bearcoat it will be a few to several months before I have it.

Congrats on a world class 1911.

The SRP has my vote as one of the toughest, most well built, most accurate, tightest, and most solid 1911s around. I have one in hard chrome with the 1.5" accuracy guarantee and it feels like you could hammer nails with it all day long and then take it to the range without having an issue.

Its got to be the ultimate duty 1911. I like it more than Wilson's CQB.

The SRP is certainly along the same lines as the Pro.

The SRP comes with a nice wooden presentation case as well.

Stupid question time: What makes the SRP better than the TRS? Does the 1.5" guarantee come standard on the SRP?

I think what really sets the srp apart from the rest is the extra hours of hand fitting that are done to it..they say it gets an extra 40 hours, which i'm not sure if i believe its that large of an amount but still a difference from the normal run of the mill baer.

The actual visual apperance of the baer is not unique, i could request my premiere II with baer coating and fixed night sights and it would look the same, the only unqiue baer in visual appearance is the thunder ranch special.
