Yes it is true. Bought from them myself. Great prices. You will need to either find a local dealer that honers the discount or you will need to contact Glock. I have bought both ways. You will need proof of your state cert, a letter from your employer and proof of your CCP. Bryan

When I bought my G19 at Lawmen Supply in NJ, all they did was photocopy my work ID. I didn't need a letter from my employer or anything.

Not exactly true. Depends where you live.
All I had to do was provide a copy of my EMS license

I was going to purchase a g19 from the officer discount program but i ended up trading for my glock. ive thought about using the discount for another one and honestly for the hour and a half that i have to drive....purchasing local throught the gssf might be just as good a deal.

I HAD to have dept. ID. I had a WA State paramedic card on me, but no dept. ID. Came back a day later with my newly issued ID, (we were in process of issuing new ones) and was good to go. It is well worth it.

    $398.20 for a NIB Glock 19.

Can't beat that with a stick.

It's up to the gun store. What started as a LE discount for officer-purchased weapons has been extended to 90% of the population. Whether the gun store views your particular vocation as qualifying, and what ID you need to show, if any, varies depending upon where you're buying.

Exactly true if you go through GLOCK directly! There wasn't a store that honored the discount when I got my first one. All I had to show for the second purchase at the store was Cert, ID and CC Permit. Bryan

For those of you who have bought directly from Glock, was the transaction processed quickly and efficiently?

I took advantage of the special pricing on a Glock 30SF at my local shop. All I had to do was show my deapartment ID but I understand this may vary depending on state and shop. Good luck!

I called them a few days back and just needed to fax a copy of my EMS cert. I'm not employed as an EMT currently (I'm an ER Tech) and don't have a CCW (I open carry for the most part, and in NM a CCW is not required to purchase a handgun). But it could be because the program is so wide spread.
