Does lee offer carbide rifle dies. I didn't think so, but I see they have pacesetter 2 and 3 die sets, and then pacesetter 3 die steel die sets.

Are all other dies carbide? It seems odd, but I don't know why else they would call out one set as being steel

I wouldn't think that rifle dies would be carbide. Carbide dies are common for pistol cartridges because they eliminate the need to lube. This won't work for rifle cases.

Now, I suppose they could make the neck sizing die with carbide and they do say that no lube is necessary for neck sizing but I kind of doubt that even these dies are carbide.

Why not just contact them directly?

No, Lee does NOT offer carbide dies. Some get confused because their neck dies say "no case lube req'd". It's almost false advertizing as no manuf neck die needs case lube but they are NOT carbide. Neck dies will not work for most semi auto reloading, you'll need full length or even full length/small base dies for 100% reliable ammo.

I didn't contact them directly because I was just curious. I just noticed it when I was looking for some spare parts. I'm not currently looking for dies.

I was just curious if anyone here had any first hand knowledge. I have seen carbide 223 dies from dillion, but didn't think lee made carbide rifle dies.
