What leather belts do you have that stand the test of time and a belly full of holiday food? The last belt from the chain store is not holding up well. Any recommendations on thickness and width?

1-1/2" is the size you seek.

I have great belts from both of these makers: http://www.abetterbeltusa.com/the-ultimate-gun-belt/

    http://www.thebeltman.net/www/htdocs/bh112.htm

I strongly suggest the 7 holes spaced 3/4" apart option. It allows for more adjustability.
If you go with the belt from the nice folks at A Better Belt USA, order it 1/2" larger than what you measure on yourself. Their belt comes with a roller buckle that tends to pull the belt a little tighter.

You can't go wrong with either maker.

I agree completely on ABetterBeltUSA. I have a belt without a stiffener that has worked great for my Shield, and I just got a stiffened one to carry my G19. Super fast delivery even in the holiday season. They include a spare Chicago screw and a tube of threadlocker. They don't use threadlocker in case you want to attach your own buckle.

Nice avatar. Can't believe they didn't keep the glider patch when they went to the berets.

I have one from beltman that I've had for about a year, and I like it. However, my favorite is a Galco CB3 concealable contour. I've had it for about 15 years now and still wear it quiet often.

I am wearing a International Handgun Leather belt every day I wear jeans. It has a double hide and brass buckle. Some Obenauf's leather preservative on it and other leather items does wonders.

Thanks, only was worn on the "C" cap and I had to buy a new one when I left the 101st. Still have it, my maroon beret (first units allowed before it was rescinded and then brought back), green Class A and my old Corccoran "Jump Boots" though the spit shine on the boots is a little dull....

Still use a couple of Mark Waldon belts. Every couple of years I treat them to some Obanauf's, and they are still holding up.
