Someone asked me today if there is a difference between a LCD Television and and LCD Monitor. If they could use either one with their computer since their video card has DVI output as well as VGA.
    I didn't know the answer.
Would using the TV LCD cause you to ruin your eyesight over time? That was their major concern.

Basically an lcd is an lcd.. a Liquid Crystal Display.. As far as monitor vs tv.. If you look almost all lcd tvs will be PC compatable which means they will have an VGA input on them and some a DVI. The main thing on the tv screen is it has a TV Tuner thats it while the others dont.. Resolutions will vary between them as one for a pc my have a much higher resolution as the tv since most of them are just made for HDTV which is 1080i. Anyway its all a factor of money.. But you can basically run any pc on a HDTV LCD or not if you have the correct input on the TV/LCD for VGA, DVI or RGB Component inputs.. Cable accordingly also..
