Seems everyone I know owns a firearm, or at least one in each home. It may just be the group I run with.

As they say, "Just out of curiosity", if a stranger called your phone and asked you if you were in possession of a gun in your home, just what, exactly, would you tell them?

Less than 80 people per state, it doesn't sound like enough people to be significant.

Unreliable statistics, most people I know that own guns, would say no or not Nswer if surveyed. I have. When they ask income,I don’t answer or answer lower. I am not interested in giving unknown people information that could make me a target.

Half of those surveyed lied, the other half didn't tell the truth.

    I don't own guns, so I won't take part.

Due to CBS' complete lack of credibility, I decided not to invest any time clicking thru it.
Even if they intended to report accurate statistics, I doubt their ability to compile them.

Database of 4000 people nationwide divided by 50 (states) = 80 people per state.

New York has illegal firearms on display. What is an illegal firearm? The government told us it was illegal so it must be true. Can it be made legal again or is it melted into a slag heap. Can the firearm be given a light slap on the wrist with parole or community service?

I think we should give these firearms a second chance to redeem themselves. Maybe an ankle bracelet, midnight basketball or a half way house that trains the firearm not to be illegal allowing them to once again be productive members of the community. And I think they should be given the right to vote.

36% in MN. That actually sounds about right based on what I’ve read before locally. Even the liberals up here hunt and have carry permits. I still have a hard time believing it’s an accurate poll though, based on what I’ve read about elsewhere in other states.

This "survey ", like 90%+ of what passes for "journalism " today, is propaganda BS designed to elicit clicks and comments.

You can hear the argument starting with, "so on average only 25% of the population even owns guns so we need to...".

And who in their right mind would answer this question in the affirmative on a phone or internet survey?

    Joseph Goebbels would be proud.
