I understand laser "sights" are not allowed. Can you use the Laseraim recoil guide as long as the device is deactivated (take batteries out)? It has a habit of coming on by itself during recoil so simply not turning it on is not an option.

The reason I'm asking is that a friend of mine (wants to shoot GSSF) bought a used Glock with the Laseraim in it but doesn't have the stock recoil guide assy.

Even if you pulled the batteries out the gun would not be legal for anything but U/L Masters without the Glock Stock recoil rod and spring. All the other categories require basically a Stock Glock, referr to www.gssfonline to review all the rules as to what constitutes a stock gun and the few modifications allowed.

But if you show up at a GSSF match the armorer will give you a stock recoil spring so he can shoot in the Amatuer classes. ;f
