I am wondering if anyone has experience with leading of Laser Cast bullets from Oregon Trail Bullet Company. I called them and asked about what velocities I can load them to before they start leading a barrel and they said it varies with type of powder. They said with HS6 I can load to 1250 for 180gr bullet, but with something else they can only be loaded to 1050. I asked about imr 800x and they said they had no data on this powder. So, anyone have experience with these bullets and 800x powder? I usually load 180 xtp's to 1350 new starline brass. I use kkm and lone wolf barrels.

I don't remember exact loads off the top of my head, but I run lasercasts out of my 10mm.

Load them hot and the leading problem is not a big deal. Just don't load them to 40 short and weak power levels. You will lead then.

Thanks for the info Peter. I plan on running them around 1200 to 1250 (180 gr) as long as they are accurate at those velocities.
