    I have a unique question that I have not seen the answer to.

    I own both a G20SF and G29SF and have various conversion barrels for them. Yesterday I ordered a G33 and should have it in my hands early next week.

    This got me thinking... what difference is there between the large frame Glock barrels compared to the small frame Glock barrels (aside from caliber and length)? In other words, if I had a G31, would my G20 barrel fit in the G31 slide? Specifically, would a G20 10mm->.357 Sig conversion barrel fit/work in the G31?

    What about the same question with the compacts? How does the barrel/slide fitment on a G33 compare to the G29?

    The lower barrel lugs. A G20 barrel will not work in a G29.

    It has to do with the barrel lugs and whether or not they match up and fit together with the locking block properly.

    I guess I was not clear. I know the issues that can exist, I was merely asking if anyone knows first hand if any issues DO exist.

    Yes, the lugs and other dimensions can be different. They also can be the same. I don't know. This is the question.

    And no, I'm not asking about G20<->G29 compatibility.

    For clarity:

    I have G20->.40 AND G20->.357 conversion barrels. Will they fit/work in a full size .40 or .357?

    I have G29.>.40 AND G29->.357 conversion barrels. Will they fit/work in a subcompanct .40 or .357?

    The G33 I have on order will be my first non-10mm Glock, so I don't know how the small frame Glocks compare to the Large frame Glocks in this respect.

    Obviously I can figure this out for myself when I G33 arrives, however I thought there would be others out there that have already tried it.

    No. Your barrels will not fit. The G20 is a completely different size than your 31. The barrels, even the aftermarket caliber change barrels, are different sizes externally. They won't fit the hole in the end of the slide. Applies to the 29 and the 20 barrels fitting in your G31.

    Now once you get to a certain CALIBER Glock, the barrels are interchangeable. Put a G32 barrel in your 33, or a G31 barrel in your 32.. You CAN even put a conversion barrel ie. .357/9mm from say, a G31 into a G32. You just can't swap barrels between Glock's FRAME sizes.
