Ok Gang: I am looking for a new laptop since I had sold my old one, and here is what I am looking for: Core 2 Duo processor 2 GB RAM Minimum 250 HDD Minimum Dedicated Graphics (of any sort, at least I can replace them later if I wish) Wireless Chipset compatible with Linux (preferrably one that can do injection) Looking to spend under 1k. Would like to stick with Toshiba, Lenovo, ASUS, etc. Not really fond of HPs and Compaqs. Buying from a Brick and Mortar would be nice, as you actually have the option of returning in the event of dead pixels, etc. The display is the only thing I am concerned with, as I can fix just about anything else, and the return policy for newegg, tigerdirect, etc is something like 8 dead pixles before they will return it... So 7 dead pixels is ok? Not with my $1000! Anyway - Right now, I have this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9027732&type=product&id=1218010173766 At 599 it's a solid deal - especially with the 9 cell battery included (!), but I'm willing to go up to 1k to get integrated graphics and a more compatible wireless chipset. What say ye? Thanks in advance for all the input, fellas.
