Some people stuck by Lance when the going got tough. I can see he's not that kind of people.
They shouldn’t have received special treatment, when the deal was active. It should just be business. The fact they get regular LE traffic that keeps the riff-raff out is a bonus, but not officially part of a deal.
All businesses need to just focus on providing goods and/or services and stop jumping on political band wagons.
He has no balls.
Why support those that do not support you? So they can donate to BLM and Antifa? Plenty of good bike shops around Austin.
I didn't say consumers have to support the store. I commented on how the store deserves equal protection from law enforcement, like every other businesses, regardless of their stance. If they pay taxes, they deserve service.
If you want to live in a society where you have to be in the favor of law enforcement to get protection, move to Mexico.
No problem. If any issues arise, just call.

I’m sure the police will respond as fast as they can peddle.
When is he giving back all the Tour de France prize/endorsement money he won after being convicted of doping?
It's a fact that bike patrols in cities reduce crime and have shorter response times. Now the bike patrol officers will be on foot, budget cuts means patrol cars will have more down time due to repair, more officers on foot patrol.
Yeah, equal protection for all.
Or, the dispatcher can just send a social worker or psychologist when something bad happens at his shop.
No worries, the social workers will be in there in no time, should trouble arise.
Take it from Lance, the doper.
I'm confident the Austin PD can get their bikes fixed at another bike shop if they need help. They can ride Trek, Cannondale, Fuji, KHS, whatever.
“Hello Lance, at the tone please leave a message”
He used to have one. Now he has none.
The "story" is so lacking.
1. Is there a statement that a contract is being broken? NO.
2. Is there a statement that an undefined association if being broken? YES
3. Is the deliberate implication of the story that his operations received special services and responses from the police for the undefined association? YES.
4. Is this another effort for public relations from an acknowledged cheat? Of course. Oh lookie here. I am not longer affiliated with the police so I am on your side of people who protest the police. Oh and lookie, I may be discriminated against by the police. JUST GIVE ME YOUR BUSINESS!
One is none?
If the shop pays its taxes like everyone else they should get the same slow response as everyone else in the city. There will no longer be any officers using this services for repair or whatever so any coat tails type protection will vanish. LEO should also take any and all their personal business away from him. Why anyone would do business with known cheat, I have no idea.
Yeah, now OneBall just went nutless.....
No, allow me to explain. Lance Armstrong used to literally have only one ball. But now he has no balls in the figurative sense because he has sided against the police because he thinks that puts him on the winning side in the current political climate.
People with no core principles often switch sides as the political winds shift. The following story is an example of that:
The Fable of the Bat
Once there was a war between the Birds and the Beasts.
When the birds were winning the war, the bat fought on the side of the
birds, claiming to be one of them, because like them, he could fly. But when
the birds began to lose the war, the bat claimed that he was now one of the
beasts because he had teeth and fur.
Once the treachery of the bat was understood by all, the bat was from that
day forward forbidden to enter out into the daylight so that no decent
creature should ever again have to gaze upon the bat's loathsome visage.
This story applies to many in the realm of politics. It could have just as easily have been written about Chief Justice Roberts or former Republican "Morning Joe" Scarborough
Steroids have probably cooked his brain like so many other athletes. He fell from grace a long time ago...
