Anyone in Washington make it out on opening day? Where did you go? How did you do? How were the crowds?

I went to Clear Lake in Pierce County and the fishing was excellent! I saw three big triploids pulled out of the lake (not by me though;1 ). I caught and released about 18 foot-long rainbows. It was rainy and cold, which probably kept the crowds down, but the fishing sure was great!

I got out to a local lake in Snohomish County and caught (and released) a limit in about 30 minutes. No triploids but it was relaxing just slowly trolling on the surface (planted fish). The weather was questionable all around and I know there will be fish in most all of the lakes for the coming weeks.

I have fished Bay Lake in Pierce County some years ago. The fish were huge BUT the drunken crowd was bigger. No fun. You know how sound carries over water!:( :)

    Good luck ;f

If the weather cooperates it should be a good day. I'm going Saturday afternoon...possibly to Pine or Rattlesnake.
