Has anyone recieved Glock mail from it yet?
Well... Knoxville and Reevesville were posted the same day (7/19) and I got an e-mail from Cindy Noyes this past Thursday asking for my Social Security Number. Sounds like prize goodies, checks, and pistol certificates may be out the door soon... from Reevesville at least.
I'm sure your Cert is in the mail good buddy!
wish it would have arrived while I could have still used ED's
but I won't be unhappy when it does arrive:O)
I'm thinking a G26 Gen3 for SubCompact. Might actually get it all done by next year's Reevesville match in May... The ol' 26 would complete the entire 9mil Glock complement.
EDIT: Hey GR, see you at Conyers?
I found nothing wrong with my gen 4 26
I like the changable grip
I have not received any mail from Knoxville either. maybe coming soon.
I've thought about that, but already have a Gen 3 17L, 34, 17, and a Gen 2 G19 and have no issues with the grip. I'd just like to make up a (stock) competition clone out of the Gen 3. What I would REALLY like is a Gen 3 OD G26 to match my G17 and G34. I could be all color-coordinated at the GSSF matches. (When your shooting skills abandon you, it's important to at least LOOK good.)
I'm thinking about a G35 being my first Gen 4 - as soon as I win another pistol cert.
I shot at the Portland match the same weekend, and found I won some money, but I haven't heard anything from anyone. Do I need to contact GSSF or will they somehow get a hold of me, or will a check just show up in the mail?
You will get Glock Mail (the good kind)
no mail here either.
No mail from Knoxville here either. Waiting on that certificate and then a trip to Ed's is in order....
Hey Blueorb, call before you drive to Ed's, I heard they did not honor the GSSF performance pistol certificates. They want everyone to mail them in. Just what I was told.
Interesting. I PM'ed Don (Weagle on here) just a few weeks ago and asked him if I could do that, he said yes.
Must be a recent change?
Just called Eds and talked to counter guy, could not get Weagle. They said they do honor the GSSF annual certificates you get from Glock, but do not honor the GSSF performance pistol winning certificates you get from glock match, was told that Glock changed the rules in May and they were told to tell the customer to mail the certificates to Glock.
I have a certificate on the way myself and was told by Eds I will have to mail to Glock. I hear it is a 2-3 month wait, but will have to wait, cannot complain much it is a free Glock.
Good news! My wife received her pistol certificate for Reevesville, SC match in the mail today. Hopefully the Knoxville won't be far behind.
I got one envelope filled with all kinds of certificates and checks and stuff. Boat loads of them. All from Knoxville ?
Dude, I'm going to VEGASSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
May be Weagle will get on here soon and confirm. Bummer about that, it was nice to get an "instant glock" from Ed's
As did I, and my random knife - which if it were any longer would be a sword and scabbard. I like it... may get rid of my Buck and carry the Glock (knife) on Coast Guard Aux patrols.
But... I was looking at the upgrade charges for all the guns and they simply don't compute as being the basic difference that they are in the LE or GSSF price lists. For instance (to whole dollar):
G26 LE: $398 (GSSF: $425) Glk Pstl Cert Equivalent W/ No Upgrade: $0
G20SF LE: $464 (GSSF: $491) Glk Pstl Cert Equivalent W/ $51 Upgrade: $449
G35 LE: $480 (GSSF: $507) Glk Pstl Cert Equivalent W/ $107 Upgrade: $505
So the way I see it, the Certificate is worth the equivalent of $398 as is, $413 for a 20SF, $373 for a G35. That's based on purchase price differences vs. upgrade differences if you were to simply buy one of the above pistols at LE or GSSF pricing. Does any of this make sense?
Since I'm so frugal, I may have to do the 51 dollar upgrade and get a G20SF, which I also wanted, and put off the G26. The Heavy Metal guns are clearly the 'best' upgrade buy.
That means I have to win another pistol, either with skill or randomly, at Conyers. My money is on the random win... I hope.
EDIT: Maybe Glock is effectively charging $22 for the ADJ sight on the 34. That would bring it back up to a Cert value of $395. Too bad as most (many) folks ditch that sight pretty quickly.
I wish it were not true myself Justin1911, I only live 12 miles from them and it was nice to walk in and get the "instant glock" from them.
They usually have instock what I want, if not they will notify you when the pistol arrives.
