I am mad at myself for posting a FaceBook link but I got sucked into this listing. Any knife experts with a FB account please check out this listing and tell me what the scam is. From the photos and listing info I would buy these all day!

They have to be fake right? No way is the knife with the serrated blade hand forged!

They sure do have one hella big amount (1066 selections to choose from) of damascus blades for sale cheap. I would guess imported. Slave labor? Cheap at least labor.

    They do look good

1075 when heat treated right, not too shabby.

They look exactly like all of the million "hand forged" Pakistani knives at the local gun show and on eBay, from the minimal effort wood to the cheap brass to the Damascus blades that have apparently become all the rage in Pakistan. They don't all look alike and the ones you get won't look as good as the picture. Also, I suspect the quality of the steel and heat treating is pretty poor.

    Thanks for the info!

What kind of prices do you see on them at the gun shows?

I just don't care for Damascus blades.

I haven't looked much at the kitchen knives, but the hunting versions go about $20-70 best I recall.

Like others have said, id probably avoid. You really don't know what you're going to get.

Deals are tempting, but if you want some nice kitchen knives, why not just buy a piece at a time that's a reputable brand?

Black Friday is coming up. I'm sure some of the knife shops will have a sale.

Shun and Miyabi are really nice, well known brands with lifetime warranties.

I've been looking at yu kurosaki for interesting looking, high quality knives.

Here are a few websites I like.
