Maybe you can get something thin to trim that. I am thinking about a metal strip of metal around 1/2" wide or so that might slip between the sink and counter and overlap the old stain mark from the older larger sink. Where you would find or make that - good question - getting if you have to make it, getting the corners to look good would be hard.
You cant return the sink back for a larger? I have never seen anything like your asking about.
How big is the counter? Do the whole thing in ceramic tile.
