Just read yourself per this idiot.

    http://forum.m1911.org/showthread.php?t=78337&page=1&pp=10

Just read the whole thread. But I will copy the biggest idiot statement.

"O.k. first of all lets start with the basics on this one. Kimber barrels are MIM (metal injection molded) GASP!!!, as are their frames, slides and all small parts (which do occasionally have to be replaced due to failure). How do I know this you ask...well a friend of mine owns one of the leading barrel making companies in the business and he bought a kimber, "Cause it just seemed so nice Joe", and upon inspection he found it was MIM. Can't fool a custom barrel maker folks.

I tried to refute this moron but the site management has deleted or edited my posts and warned me to stop questioning Joe Chambers statements.

And as anyone that knows me can tell you I have very little respect for Kimbers and am not a blind Kimber cheerleader...but this is incredible.

Everyone, I accidentally started two threads on this because of a faulty internet service. The other one has more posts. Please let this one die.
Here is the link to the current one.

This Joe Chambers guy is a maroon.

It doesn't take much to get a thread taken down over there. This one of mine was taken down today.

Not clearly pointed out but posting items from huge internet sites like Bud's, despite having physical stores, are discouraged because most everyone already knows to look there.

Probably why I spent 26 years as a Regular Army Officer rather than as a Naval Officer - we spoke to our troops - not down to them.

I'll consider myself reprimanded - at least the internet equivalent of a Captain's Mast - and go forward and sin no more.

Credibility is much too precarious a thing to leave it in the hands of "my buddy"...

Hey, Joe, where you going with that foot in your mouth?

Sorry I posted this thread twice but a snow storm here has had my satellite internet on the fritz.
I think the Mods finally closed that thread.

M1911.org does have some useful information, but the mods on there are complete moron nazi douchbag control freaks. I rarely even visit that site anymore. Would be a pretty good site if they had GT's mods.

GVFlyer......The OP is talking about the thread on M1911.org.

    You are talking about 1911Forum.com

I just thought you should know the difference.

he's not listed in the American Pistolsmith's Guild as a Member, Associate Member or Honorary Member.

maybe an email with the link to that thread might be an interesting read to the APG.

That may be true but it doesn't mean his membership is not in process or the APG web site has not been updated. I would give him the benefit of the doubt as it looks like he does some very nice work.
