Is it just me or is there not really much movement on Kimbers Aegis line,I recently traded my Springer Loaded in 9mm for one of these little carry pieces,it seems like a nice little pistol. There sure isnt much reviews to be found on reliability or the like. What say the 1911 gurus.Yay or Nay.

IMO, there are better choices for the compact 9mm platform. EMP, Escort, Shadow, Off Duty....

Actually....that is the only thing in Kimber's lineup that interests me. I will probably get one.

Yeah, that's the way I roll too. :)

Actually, 9mm 1911s shoot extremely well.

9mm is my favorite caliber and the 1911 is my favorite design, so why the hell don't I own any 9mm 1911s? :headscratch:

That Kimber looks good but I agree with a45 and bac. I had a Springfield loaded in 9mm. I tried to like it and it shot very well but it just felt wrong.

Which is why the Browning Hi-Power was created.
    No reason to make a 9mm 1911s.

I love my 5" model. Nice to have the option to shoot for less money.

I personally like the EMP better. I cant stand the TS on the Aegis. I know another can be somewhat easily fit, but the EMP was a better option for me. I love STI's line up as well, just liked the fact that the EMP was re-designed around the 9mm and .40 round. And if anyone doesnt like a 9mm 1911, all i can say is your missing out on probably one of the most pleasurable guns to shoot!

I like mine quite a bit. The only problem i've had is with the mags, but I fixed that. I got a feeling that alot of people that don't like them probably haven't shot one. For a 3" pistol I'd rather have the 9mm personally. I can't compare it to any other compact 1911 since I haven't shot any of the others, but I like the looks of the Kimber better. They are a little expensive for what they are though.
