For those of you who had kids, why did you have kids?
My guess - because they grew up in a society that told them all their lives the goal was to get married and have kids.
You know about the Birds and the Bee's right?
It was important for me and my wife, we wanted to be Parents, only problem is that once we had kids reality set in that we were in no way ready to become parents! We had three Children, all daughters and my marriage lasted 6 years. Now I have two in College (on their own dime) and one in High school, I have never been so proud of anything as I have my Children, they make me want to be a better father.
Because they are a gift and a blessing.
2 grown daughters 23 , 25
one was planned the other not so much . it was and still is one of the greatest joys in my life to hold my babies , grow up and do their own thing.
now in todays time would i have kids ?? no i would not
and i dunno bout society dictating this or that, but i was raised to be a free thinker , i never heard of anything growing up that we were supposed to get married and have kids and picket fence and all that jazz. ofcourse im from small town . i did not hear that term til i was grown lol
This is a perennial favorite post here and it always seems to end with the conclusion you've just posted. HH
She got pregnant.........?
Because I practiced making them one too many times and won the BC failure lottery?
Damn condoms keep breaking!
I cloned myself so they could support me in my old age.
I needed someone to reload mags for me.
I always knew I wanted kids. They are just awesome. Maybe because inside I still am one, or maybe because I thought I could be a pretty good Dad, either way, I wouldn't change a thing...
I have two children.
After the impending apocalypse, they will help me with day to day tasks, as well as carry on my seed. Soon, most of "humanity" will look like me!
Because I love pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just to ruin lives. Once they're pregnant (confirmed) I'm gone. Never use your real name.
What??? Kids are absolutely the easiest job I have ever had!
I could do it in my sleep! Sometimes I do........
I better not say anything here.
Because a child is a living, breathing, tangible expression of the love my wife and I have for each other.
That's what having kids is all about Charlie Brown.
If you have to ask a bunch of strangers, you and the children would be better off if you did not procreate. Wear a condom, please.
