Been there, done that. Not looking forward to go again through the same experience to be honest. I've been stabbed before and the level of pain is about the same with the kidney stones.

How did you make out @Joshhtn ? I've been hospitalized for 2 myself. The first one was worse than the second. They were both around 3-4mm and one on each side about year and half apart.

I have had a few of them but I forget how I felt.

I drank a lot of water and ate a lemon tic tac then took a nap.

    Woke feeling fine

I must have passed it while taking a nap

    Thanks for the well wishes

I was on the floor drinking a lot of beer. Felt similar to the stabbing wound (I would know). Weird feeling when it finally came out. It was only really painful while traveling in the kidney itself. Later on was much better. I would recommend beer and water. Never took any pain medication.

I made it out alive. Thankfully, it wasn't painful to pass. That's what I was most worried about, but it was basically painless. I knew it passed, but it was a fast sharp pain that I barely had time to notice.

Now, the pain leading up to it, I will NEVER forget. I didn't know a person could hurt that bad and not die. What's even more amazing to me is I had a small stone vs some of the stories/pictures I saw, so I couldn't imagine that.

One thing I will say for sure.... I damn sure will never forget what that pain feels like!!

Glad you made it Josh! My experience was about the same. I didn't take staying hydrated very seriously either until my first one but have since. Keep the water flowing and you should be good to go.
