Maybe just to 'crunch up' the graham crust a bit? :dunno:

    Three fresh limes or lemons
    Two eggs
Can of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
    Graham cracker crust pie shell

Squeeze and strain the lime juice
Separate the yellow of the eggs and mix well in the lime juice
Grate some of the peeling & add if desired

Add the Eagle Brand milk and mix to consistency
    Poor in pie shell
"Bake" in a 350 degree oven for 5-6 minutes then refrigerate a few hours.

This was my Mom's recipe. I have made it hundreds of times. That's my recipe and I'm stickin' to it.

You put the lime in the coconut and drink it all up.

I am giving this one a try. Key Limes are a real pain in the rear to squeeze. I would compare it to milking a cat.
I should have added that the mom in law is making PB pie.

No, it more the use of sweetened condensed milk and just the thinness of the good stuff. I like the cheesecake better.

Real key lime pie is neither sweet, or green.
It should have a sour bite and be almost yellow.

Forget the key lime, I'm going for the carrot cake.

"Next year, Tzekas plans to enter more pies and expand to cake contests so she can show off her carrot cake, which she insists is amazing."

Village Inn restaurants have the best Key Lime Pie I have ever eaten.
With that statement I have never made one.

    1) In most cases, men and ovens do not mix.

    2) Like the ready made pie crust, you can waste time whipping cream, or you can use Cool Whip. With peanut butter pie, the result is the same.

I mix more with ovens than my wife does.

Biker Larry lived on No Name and knew of a Key Lime orchard that was abandoned. Larry would ride/boat over and pick the limes and sell them to the Seven Mile Grill. No other diner makes Key Lime pie even close to the Seven Mile Grill's.

Agreed. The Publix version is ok but not even close to the real thing.

Way out here in the Rocky Mtns we do not grow Limes. I do like them however. We buy Limes every week for mixed drinks and baking.
I never knew there were different kinds of limes? What is a Persian lime compared to others? I have never seen a Yellow Lime? Our limes if aged remain green and dry up.
