I used my new Harris bipod today for the first time. I have it attached to a RRA varmint upper via the sling swivel stud.

The mechanism that holds the bipod to the rifle continually came loose during firing. I had to re-tighten it about six times in 100 rounds.

Is there some trick to installing it??? Is there some way to overcome this problem ???

Thanks for any help you can give from your experience.

I always had issues wit those loosening. I tightened one and safety wired it. I ran that one for many years. Recently I replaced it with a Harris that has the tilt/swivel feature as well as a Larue QD attachment. Love it.
