I am going to put a little gun safe in my car to store my Glock in while I am in working. My question is, will the heat bother the gun at all? It will be in the lock box under the seat.

A lock box is good for safety and theft. I use a hot and cold soft zip up lunch kit to keep my Glock at a safe temperture while in my truck.

Thats a good idea. I could slide that little lock box into a cooler.
Great Ideal. A thief would never think about looking in the cooler unless he was thursty.

I have a friend who got everything stolen from the inside of his truck except a brown paper bag in which held his glock.

The temperatures inside your car do not get high enough to damage your Glock nor to 'explode' the rounds inside it. The only real reason I can see to keep your firearm cooler in your vehicle is so it doesn't burn your hand if you have to use it.

Why do you feel that is necessary?
I have picked up my glock from inside my truck glove box in this Texas 100 heat and it felt like it just came out of an oven. That is what got me thinking of what I could do to keep it from getting so hot. Also I can just pick up the lunch kit and take it with me to and from the truck. It makes a nice soft carry case for the pistol and magazines also. I like to use the double sided soft zip-up kids kits with the smiley faces. Each to his own I suppose.

Oh ok. It sounds like you want it to keep cool so it feels better in your hand, just in case you have to use it right away and not because you think something bad will happen to the gun in the heat?

I honestly don't know how a glock will react if exposed to 140-160 degrees when it is fired. However, I do know it is a little hot to hold.

It will get a little warm to the touch, but if you needed to use it, I don't think you'd even notice...until its all over...

I can not take a weapon inside my facility so I keep my 27 in a lock box in my vehicle. I have never had a problem even with temperatures getting well over 90 outside and I am sure 120 inside the car.
