I have two STI and only one Colt 1911. The Colt (Delta Elite) was feeling pretty lonely in the safe and has been begging for a Pony companion. I finally gave in and adopted a Colt CCO (lightweight officer frame and commander slide by Talo). You've gotta keep the guns happy. I got it cleaned up and ready for a little range time. My impressions before shooting; it is tightly built, has no obvious flaws in fit or finish, it is light and will be an easy carry, and points naturally for me. I'm not crazy about the grips and the LW Commander rollmark is kind of funky, but all in all I like it.

Thanks all. The first range trip; 130 rds of WWB and FMJ & LRN reloads went without a hitch. So far, so good.

Congrats!!!

I am not a fan of the Officer's grip length and that's why I didn't go for that CCO. If Colt had made another version of it to be a Lightweight Commander...oooh mama. Then I wouldn't have to buy the XSE with all the silly ass stuff like front serration and ambi safety.
