Can anyone tell me the differece between the PM and MK and CW are
TP: Polymer Frame, 4" Barrel
KP: Polymer Frame, 3.6" Barrel, 2.5" Barrel (.380 ACP Models)
PM: Polymer Frame, 3" Barrel
KT: Steel Frame, 4" Barrel
K: Steel Frame, 3.5" Barrel
M: Steel Frame, 3" Barrel
CW: Concealed Weapon, Polymer Frame & Stainless Steel Slide, 3.6" Barrel
Check out the Kahr page on wikipedia. MK is the stainless framed version of the PM. The CW is slightly larger than the P. Yeah, I find Kahr's models kinda' confusing and stumbled across the chart on the wikipedia page a couple months ago.
I find Kahrs website rather informative.
If the model has a K it is steel frame. If it has a P it is polymer.
MK9 is the micro steel 9mm
PM 9 is the polymer micro 9mm
The CW9 is the same as the P9 midsize but it is the bargain model with some cheaper features. Pinned front sight vs. dovetail. Slab cut slide contour vs. machined round edges. Standard rifling vs. polygonal.
Most of these won't make a difference to the average person so you can save $200 over the P9.
The PM is the easiest to carry since it is so small and light.
