I will be going on a multi state trip next month. I am retired LE but getting old. I have a Kahr PM-9 and a S&W M&P shield in 9mm. The Kahr is more comfortable to carry, however; the Smith carries more ammo. Would you feel under gunned with the Kahr???

I daily carry my cw9 and an extra mag. I am more accurate with it than my glocks. Would love to have the MK9, will get one when I can get a good deal on one, new they are about 950.00 but all steel and smaller. I carry my cw9 in a inside the waist band Rawdog tactical holster, very comfortable. Never feel under gunned with the spare mag.

I solved that problem by just carrying a spare mag in a pocket mag carrier in the off-hand pocket.

PS. Well, darn, BDM beat me to it.

Just don't get in a running gun battle and you should be fine. Carried my Kahr P9 Covert and a spare mag to see a client in a terrible part of town. I felt fine.

No, not at all. Take the Kahr. Both would be pointless IMO. Take your PM9 for carry and a larger, higher capacity pistol for the vehicle and nightstand.

I will be taking the Kahr, however; I have never felt good about leaving a gun in my car or in a motel room when I am not there. Thanks for all of you opinions. By the way I just ordered a Raw Dog Tactical for my Kahr. Thanks for that information also.

    Hey Ken.

I'm also a retired cop. I carry a Kahr CW 9 every day now and I never feel undergunned.

I also am retired law enforcement. I carry my PM9 with an extra magazine daily. It's comfortable and I never feel undergunned.

Either one of them should win in a knife fight. I carry the Kahr every day in N Idaho, and don't worry about it even though a large number of people have an AR or AK in their trunk. When I lived in Kalifornia, it replaced the sub-compact Glock due to weight and size. Mika's Pocket Holster -- goes with anything I'm wearing in any weather.

I'd take a Glock 43 over either of those.
