    A big plus!

    It is a lot lighter than a G26, conceals better, and mine has been accurate and reliable.

    The K9 has some great qualities for a carry gun. It's a bit heavy compared to polymer guns, but not too heavy for comfort. Mine has night sights, which I would recommend. Crimson Trace makes a laser for the K9 that fits and work well. Mine is stainless...ideally I'd prefer an all black gun for carry. One problem is availability...they aren't often in great supply.

    Sorry, I misunderstood the post, thought you were asking about the CW9. From what I hear they are well made, but a little heavier than the CW9.

    I have mine on now, in a TT Gunleather IWB holster.
    Very easy to conceal, but big enough to hold on to.
    It's one of my most often carried guns.

    I carry one occasionally in a DelFatti OWB holster but, honestly, it's big and heavy compared to my light clothing edc carry pistol...a PM9. If I'm going with something that large and with that kind of weight, I'll generally carry my lw Colt Officers 1911 in a Galco IWB NSA. The K9 is an excellent arm, but it works better for me as a house/console/bedside gun.

    The K-9 is a fine piece but a little heavier than the P-9 which I own. With that said I ended up buying a PM-9 so that I could carry it in a front pocket with an in pocket holster. This is very convenient when you take the weapon on and off several times a day. The P and K are both just a little long in the grip for pocket carry.

    K9 is a little heavier, but thin and accurate. I use the P9 or P9 Covert every day. The weight difference (between K9 & P9) is noticed at the end of the day. You can't go wrong with a K9, great pistol.

    Is the k9 elite worth the extra money over a k9.

    I feel it is, took me nine months for my order. I also have the 4" ported barrel for it, unbelievably light recoil and accurate.:thumbsup:

    I carry mine every day, the weight doesn't bother me at all. You made the right choice.

    I have many and my favorite is CW9 we have special bond, but I will carry depending the place and clothing. Both are good, get both if you can. But if you are only get one wet the P9.
    Congrats and welcome.

    I think the MK9 is a better option because you can pocket carry it. The K9 isn't pocket carry capable unless you have a coat with really big pockets or wear some type of big painter jeans.

    I like that, don't have to worry about finish rubbing off. The matte finish on the standard models doesn't reflect too much anyways.

    @GOOFA,
    you plan on getting the metal guide rod for it? The factory plastic one is such a p.o.s. in my experience.

    The guide rod on my K9 Elite and all my Kahr's came with a steel guide rod, a stainless steel guide rod is available for most/all models but I have never seen a benefit to purchasing one.
