Great acting, good plot.....
I'm sure there has been a thread about it here..
Got to love the Departed, I liked the ending.
Little behind the times, are we?
I thought the ending was the best part, personally.
I know I'm in the monirity, but I never cared for it.
Seems like the writer couldn't think of any dilogue, so he just had the characters cruse eachother for two hours. I'm also just tired of movies about dirty cops.
I thought the ending was pretty good.
Since I saw the original I wasn't expecting Hollywood to make it any better.
This. The original sucked, the hollywood version sucked more. The only redeeming part was seeing Matt Dayyyyy-Mun! get his head blown off. That scene should be added to every movie he is in.
Probably one of my favorie "dirty cop" movies. Going with the dirty cop theme, Brooklyn's Finest has to be one of the most depressing and feel bad movies I've ever seen.
I liked Brooklyn's Finest. I also loved Internal Affair with Richard Gere. I thought the movie ended stupidly though. Unlawful Entry was good too. The stainless Beretta looked awesome in that movie.
Deep Cover is one of the all time best dirty cop movies. Did anyone like that one with Ed Norton and Colin Farrell? Forgot the name but it was about the 4 NYPD cops that got shot. I didn't care for it.
Liked The Departed, didn't care for Brooklyn's Finest.
Some of the guys I know here liked The Departed.
I didn't. I guess I'm just not into dirty cop movies.
I'm wondering if the movie got its plot from the case in Boston where the mobster was on the FBI payroll. I think the guy was just caught a few weeks ago. James "Whitey" Bulger
No they ripped off Hong Kong then made them Irish to make it seem like they weren't.
Hong Kong has been ripping off Hollywood for years... Now they are ripping them off in return, badly.
I kinda liked The Corruptor. I think the producers intended to make a B grade shoot'em up but by accident made a decent flick.
Yeah - the last scene in The Departed where Damon gets offed was worth the price of admission.
I liked Street Kings and Brooklyns Finest.
Street Kings was not about corrupt cops! Well, at least the main character wasn't.
Street Kings was okay, Brooklyn's Finest stunk. And I catch all sorts of garbage for enjoying Street Kings.
I loved Street Kings. Stupid thing was my friends gave me my new nickname after that movie came out... Guess my car looks too similar to a black dodge charger srt10.
Street Kings was a bubble gum action movie with somewhat of a plot (my friend is always saying how you could never get away with killing that many cops and not have some major issues, to which I reply that it's just a movie). The Departed had (in my opinion) a better plot, but some really solid action sequences, too. Sort of a brains-vs.-brawns matchup, but I can enjoy them both.
