A week or so ago I purchased a S&W SW40VE. I liked the way it felt but was hesitant because of all the negative things I had heard. The dealer told me to take it out and give it a whirl and if I didn't like it he'd credit all funds spent toward another pistol. Today was the first chance I've had to give it a test drive so to the range I went. I ran 100 rounds out the tube and really like this pistol. I didn't find the trigger pull atrocious, it hit what I pointed it at and it did it all without any problems. I think I'll hang onto my Sigma.

Its always best to form your own opinion, very cool of your dealer to offer a credit if it did not work out though.

I have had my 9VE for several years. It is very comfortable in the hand and has had no misfeeds. I sent it to Texas for service (had the guide rod and spring replaced) and the Gunsmith there smoothed out the trigger while he had it. I love my Glock 19, my CZ P-01, and all the others, but I either carry my Sigma, or my Ruger SP 101.

I had one that I traded off for my glock. Will never look back.
Glocks trigger is 1,000 times better in my opinion.

It was all my fiance could do to pull the trigger on that thing.

I have both and think the Sigma fits my hand way better than the Glock. I don't like the trigger, but I don't like any DAO triggers, including the Glock.

    Sigma is way underrated.

I hate the trigger, but I won't bag on anyone that has one and likes it. From what I hear they are as reliable as any other gun out there.

I have recently purchaed a used SW40VE ($210, what a deal!) made in June 2007, and the trigger has smoothed out nicely with use. Like them all - Glocks, XD's, Para's - we do have the ability to adjust. Good Luck with yours.
