I swore the next Glock I was going to purchase was going to be a G29SF. Oh well, that's going to have to wait. I'm not a huge 9mm fan but after purchasing a G26 about 6 months ago, I became a little fond of that little sub-compact. Sooo, I'm looking around in my LGS and see a LNIB Gen 4 17 and fell in love with the feel. I think this will be a perfect range gun for me to burn through some ammo with. I really hope Glock comes out with a Gen 4 G20 soon because my Gen 2 pales in comparison to the ergonomics of this Gen 4.

I should be able to put a bunch of ammo though this piece this weekend so I'll be sure to post a report comparing it to the rest of my Glocks.

500.00 OTD.....all the pre-owned glocks go for around 450-475 around here. I've passed on a bunch but being persistant and being in the right place at the right time, I've grabbed a G26,G33, and now the G17 used. All were LNIB so I'm happy.

Congrats! Sounds like you got a good deal given your geographic area.

Thanks...I know I didn't steal it but it was right down the road from my office. No internet,FFL fees, shipping, etc. Nice and easy and I'm anxious to put some ammo down range. If my G26 is any indication, this thing should be fun to shoot!!

Those are the best deals. I make the rounds here to see what folks have traded in, or what demos are available. Definitely good to get a break--enjoy the new G17!
