Some aspects of wife can be, frankly, kinda gross. Good thing I have loads of practice at this sort of thing. :faint:

Haven't used photobucket in a while, giving me fits. I'll put up before and afters...what you can't see is the three layers (32 stitches' worth) of internal stitching holding him together.

He had a benign tumor taken out of his shoulder the size of an orange...which we THOUGHT was the size of, say, my thumb.

    Holy hell!

Why bother stitching for such a mere eyesore?

A 1/8" drill bit and a DeWalt woulda worked wonders. Add to that a set of clamps and, HONEY, you'd 'a been just fine as an assistant. :whistling:

(Seriously though, glad everything's going okay with all that...err...mess!)

Supposedly the roll will flatten out and the pucker will go away (from the internal stitches). I told hubby scars make better stories than tattoos (and we both have 'em both!)

As I learned working in a Hospital when I was 18, it does not hurt you.

I told the Wife this 35 years ago and she is good with this.

Sure feels good when the stiches come sliding out. Just like scratching an itch. At least my experience with them.

I have taken my own out, when I could get at them. It's staples I don't like.

Good on you for cleaning him up.

Typically as the healing continues it will even out. Part of the reason it's raised is inflammation during healing. I'm glad it was benign GKL, he should be doing good soon enough.

Taking out stitches isn't a big deal, but never ever give yourself or someone else a penicillin shot, that inch and a half long needle REALLY sucks.
