I just picked up my Ed Brown Kobra Carry today. I ordered this about 2 months ago, mine actually came in sooner than expected. I can't wait to shoot & carry this beauty. I also installed my custom set of Esmeralda grips as soon as I got her back to my store.

I took a few quick pics with my phone, I will take some better quality ones with my digital camera when I get a chance. The first is before, the others are after the grips are installed.

I have the stainless version, but always prefer carbon steel 1911s.

Its a better material for the platform, in my opinion. All my top of the line custom 1911s are carbon.

I think its the most popular semi-custom around, along with the Wilson CQB.

I think if I where to get one I would prefer a naked slide special forces carry but the Kobra Carry sure does look nice.

Nice looking unit for sure. Congrats on the purchase and make sure to post a range report after you fire it up.

I've been pondering a Kobra for the past few months, but am leaning towards the full size unit..but wondering if I could get it with the bob-tail grip without having to wait a long time.
