I've been carrying a Glock since 2000. A Gen 3 G19 to 2010 then a Gen 4 G19 from 2010-current. I've always liked the G17 but figured my G19's cover the base. That may be true but I simply WANT a G17  So, with my GSSF cert I sourced a Gen 4 G17 this Saturday and snagged it! $398 plus tax. It will be few days until I can make the range but so far I just happy to have it in the mix finally.

congrats, I love all of my 9mm Glocks and each has its own role in my opinion. Take it out and shoot the heck out of it because if it is new one that has never been played with, it will be rough and need to be shot to smooth it out, mine did...

Congrats on the new G17! It's what I use to test new powder/projectile loads for 9X19. Plus, it's fun to shoot.

    Enjoy yours.

Thanks Folks!! So, I compared the size to my full size M&P 9mm and they are pretty much the same to my surprise. I often carry my M&P in the winter when I have larger concealment clothing. Looks like I can switch to the G17! I seemed to have believed it was larger than it really is. I am thinking about having a straight back reduction on it however, the larger hump has it pointing differently for me.
