Manufactured April 87 so it is 22 years old (older than me). Its mildy beat up on the slide but the frame is in good shape. Anybody have suggestions on what I should do with it to make sure it has the recall repairs done? Any advice from anybody who owns one?

Anybody know Glock's number in Georgia they actually will answer? Will they mail you a shipping label if I wanted the slide refinished?

why would they pay to have you ship them the slide for them to refinish ?

there not going to refinish your slide for free,

you pay to ship it to them,

you pay for them to do the work ,

you pay for them to ship it back to you?

$45.00 to have slide refinished they don't actually do the work but is locally done to Glock's specifications. They also upgrade the inner workings of the slide for free. You pay for shipping to Glock Priority Mail is OK but be sure to get it insured. The wait is about 5 - 6 weeks they will ship it back to you on their dime. HTH

Only FFL dealers can ship a handgun via the USPS. If you sneak it in and the post office finds it, it's gone. If you have a dealer that will ship for you, it's cheaper than UPS and FEDEX.

If the top edge of the trigger bar extension is flat, the trigger upgrade has probably not been done.
