I'm sorry to say that as a long time Ford truck fan, the 2009 / 2010 F-150 gets a complete and total FAIL in exterior styling. I tried to like it. I waited. It just wont come. The damn truck is ugly. I made my final decision on the matter today.

I just hope they turn it around before I enter the truck market again.

...could not agree more! It must have been hard to make the 150 SO ugly now.

    I'd say 1992 - 1997 (plain and simple but I liked it) or 2004 - 2008.

I actually liked the same year ranges you listed.

My future FIL sold his '95 F150 recently and purchased an '04 F150.

I like both, but he kept the '95 really clean and it was all stock and I always thought it was a good example of how a stock rig should look.

The '04 is nice, and the beverage holders are more manageable, but there was something about that '95 I really liked. I suppose it just seemed like more of a "pickup" to me. Long box, standard cab, and he put old school lock out hubs on her.

Went to the Ford site, and while style is not that high on my list of truck features, that is a pretty fugly truck. I hate it when a company picks a "style" and plasters it on every thing. That huge towering CHROME GRILL and the Cliffs of Dover side styling looks like that horrible crossover thing they did a while back.

OK - you made me look: http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/f150/

I've bought NINE brand new Dodge Rams consecutively - almost all of them custom ordered from the factory the way I want them - and I'll never spend another dollar on a GM or Chrysler vehicle so long as I live! :steamed:

So, I was REALLY leaning towards Ford, but I agree - that's one ugly truck! :wow:

Damn... I still really like the way the Dodge looks, but now I'm going to have to consider Toyota too...

The latest Ram is a good looking truck, but I still prefer the 1994 - 2001 style.

Had a 96 2500. Biggest POS ever! Bought back from me by chrysler after 8 months because it was in the shop every few weeks for another problem. Wouldn't shift into OD, took 2 weeks to repair, and I gave up trying to get the brakes to work right. Every stop resulted in a massive pull to the right. One panic stop had me off the road almost in a ditch because I couldn't keep it straight.

PBC Brother- Glad you are a Ford truck man, another reason why you are my brother. I too havent warmed up to the new models either.

I think you and I like the same years too. They even look better in RED...

After this model, they went down hill...

I can't comment on the quality, but I did like the look.

So did I. But the quality was so bad, I'll never ever buy another non-jeep chrylser product again(besides for one being totaled and one that was broken into, I had no problems at all with any jeep, nor has anyone I know).

Just last week this guy I used to plow snow with called and asked if I'd be interested in helping him plow snow in one of his trucks. I agreed and he tells me, "It's in the driveway with the keys in the glove box." So I show up at his house an hour later to see a red F350 Super Duty identical to this one....

...I have to say. That truck WAS AWESOME!!!! I felt like I was plowing snow with a Cadillac, LOL! smooth and powerful. Very comfortable interior, and, if you ask me, I think the outside looks nice, too!

The 250's on up look a lot better than the 150. It's like they tried to make the 150 look "sporty" instead of like a truck, and used legos as the means. The 250's still look like trucks. The Griswald grill needs to go though.

I really liked my '92 xcab F150. If it had been 4wd it would have been damn near perfect.
