Pool in the summer. Temp was 105 yesterday, 93 right now.
Nice looking pool you got there. I like pools but hate the upkeep. Don't tell me there's no upkeep either because they all require their own amount of it.
Weekly pool service, and "state of the art" equipment.
I remember reading your thread a couple of years ago; I am glad that you are enjoying the pool.
Pentair, Hayward, or Zodiac automation?
Your pool is gorgeous!
Envy: i haz it.
I include paying someone else in my "upkeep" statement. I grew up with a pool and my wife and I had one in our first house. I love pools but just don't use one enough to justify the expense.
Nice pool my friend
nice pool. I have always loved pools growing up but never wanted one at my house, so the family and I joined a private one this year. It also helps my neighbor has one too that we can use about whenever we want.
I agree with RDW's statement about equipment and set up.
Between multi-speed pumps, ozone generators, and polished non-plastered walls pools are a lot easier to maintain than even five/ten years ago.
1. Algae have a more difficult time growing on smooth surfaces - ergo polished pools walls really helps.
2. We run our pump on high for about 4 hours a day and low the rest of each day. Doing so allows us to keep out chlorine levels very low.
3. If people would simply brush their pool 1x per week they'd be so much better off.
I pay a pro to take care of our pool because our pool is hyper used, for example yesterday my daughter had 13 friends over and all of them swam most of the afternoon. That's a lot of oil and pee in the water. We also travel a lot so me doing anything on a schedule is perilous.
If I could have a pool, it would have to look like that though.
Owned one and don't miss it at all.
If I want water, I've got the lake close enough by. If I want more water, the ocean isn't too far either.
Again, beautiful, but not for me. (Granted, it would be if I had enough money to not worry about a single aspect of it. )
VERY nice! What time shall you be expecting me?
Beautiful, beautiful sanctuary you have there.
I live in MN. The only pool in my future usually involves betting on sports.
I do enjoy swimming in our lakes though. It's hard to beat the velvety feel of lake water.
Pentair & Zodiac.
Edit to add: It's also a Salt Water Pool.
Here's my "pool" at sunset. No maintenance, back yard.
