She's a first time Mama and needed a little help with the process. It was about a 45 minute labor. The Mama and her newborn filly are doing great. The filly is all legs and wobbly ones at that, but I got her feeding from her Mama. Now it's time for my wife to take over and I'm going to try to get some shuteye as I need to get up for work in an hour. Our 3 kids were able to witness the event, which made for a special family memory. Oh yeah about half way through the birth the coyotes must have gotten the scent and I could hear them howling just outside the barn. I should save the placenta and bait the damn coyotes with it tonight. I'll get some photos up later.
