I just got an iphone and am looking for a few good apps. Tell me what I should look at
The free weather channel app is pretty good.
the two gun apps I use are ballistic fte and shottimer.
-Anger of Stick
All good games, most have a demo version to try before buying.
-Wifi Trak - finds more wireless networks then the built in scanner.
-Police Radio - good police scanner, works through the internet.
-Dictionary.com Dictionary app - self explanatory
-Pandora's Box - free app that shows you when apps go on sale, lots of good features in this one.
-GoodReader - best app for storing data on your iTouch/iPhone. Can store programs, documents, any computer data (works through web browser) and can also read .pdf files. (if you need something like this)
-Fortuneball - works like a magic 8-ball, shake for answer. But you can reprogram all the answers, so you can use all your favorite places to eat, to help choose movies, or put all your guns in it to see which one to shoot. Good app.
-Any flashlight app, you should have one.
Also, for $9.99 I bought the Audubon field guide to trees. I spend a lot of time in the woods, and the app is worth it if you usually carry a tree field guide with you. Probably not for everyone though.
If you need to do any kind of drawing on it, like a paint program, the only worthwhile answer is the autodesk Sketchbook program - I was amazed by how much you could do with it.
new york post
Off of my iphone:
slacker (radio) (this is my favorite)
constitution and/or usa manual (these should come with the iphone)
translator (I live in FL)
Air mouse if you want to use the iphone as a mouse for your computer
yelp if you go out to eat a lot
SpongeBob (for prank calling friends and co-workers)
Those are my must haves and most are free. Then what ever type of games you want.
If you have kids - get Stealth tone - it's a tone that only people under 25 can hear. It is pretty funny to walk into a room of kids with it playing! =]
what is that spongebob calling thing?
Some of my most common and favorite apps are:
WSJ (need a subscription now)
Amazon Kindle (THE BOMB - read in reverse print and it's the best book you ever bot!)
Wild West Pinball
Locator (pedo locator - shows the closest (residence) 10 to you at any given moment.)
Also - google Iphone Tips and read up on the tricks, shortcuts, and other things you can do to make your phone better.
So far I got:
The Weather Channel
Wacky World (mini golf)
Battery Magic is pretty cool and handy.
i like fox sports wayyy better than espn. I also use MMA Torch, which is a UFC news type of app. I just got on twitter so i have been following Chuck Barkley's lol tweets. Ugh, what else do i use....i like the fart app too. that's always funny. I use my BoA app and my Chase app. usa today app is cool. i have that police scanner i paid like 2 bucks for it too, and sometimes it doesn't work.
good luck dog

Bold is what I recommend
