Warning do not read if you have not finished the book.

I repeat, DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THE BOOK

Did you guys liked the way it ended? That is just freaky. Like Roland is bound to continue his quest for the Tower for as long as it deems necessary for him to find redemption for what he do it get to it. I really liked the way King ended the book with the exact same line that opened the series. Nice.

    Long days and pleasant nights.

Yes, sai I liked the ending much much. It gave hope that Roland would be able to finish his quest without making at least some of the mistakes he had made, like dropping Jake in one of the earlier books.

After thinking about it,I think that it was the best way to end it.

    Finished it just tonight.
I think the next go round could be his last.
He picked up the Horn this time at Jericho and has it with him.

Hard to tell; you are right about Ka and the wheel.

I thought Oy might be brought back to life by the boy erasing the drawing.

Anyhow, book #7 is one of the best.
My other favorites in the series are:
    #1, #2 and #3.
    #4 and #5 were OK.
#6 really felt like just filler.

Not sure how I feel about King putting himself in there.
The Harry Potter stuff is funny.

Next is Angels and Demons for change of pace.
    Then Da Vinci Code.

You are correct, he does have Gan's Trumpet or whatever now. I wonder if it ends if he takes the Horn to the tower.

While I liked the ending, it really doesn't have any closure. Ol' tall and ugly is still on his quest for the tower.

I wonder how many times he has found it before, only to have to start the quest over again?

I really enjoyed the Dark Tower series but after finishing them I am kinda sad because it is over and I can never read about them again.

Good ending. I almost stopped where he wanted us to, when Susanna hooks up with Eddie and Jake...but no, of course not. I agree, I think this might be Rolands last go around. King appeared to be genuinely worn out by this series. I'm also sad to see it end, but it is what it is...Ka.

    Next up:

The Runes of the Earth by Steven R. Donaldson

    and:

A reread of Dune and the Prelude to Dune trilogy by Brian Herbert
