Ok, Do you remember when you were old enough to ride or drive? Maybe there was a model in the particular year you turned old enough that you thought was the coolest bike(or car) in the world?. Well, for me that was in 1986. I was 16 and had been riding a Yamaha 650 Special for a couple of years but in 1986 Honda came out with the full fledge race bred VFR 750 Interceptor F. It was Red, White, and Blue. This was one of the most powerful and best looking bikes I have ever seen. It was a marvel in engineering and beauty. The first bike to use the (now modern) twin spar aluminum frame and uses the engine as a stressed member. It was reported to have 105 hp at the rear wheel. I remember thinking "Who will ever use that much power?)I was in love at first sight! But there was no way I could afford one of those beauties at 16. Well, now I am 32 years old and my longing is over. I just purchased a 1986 VFR 750 F Interceptor in Red, White and Blue. Life is good! I got it off of Ebay at a reasonable price and am having it shipped from Milwaukee to Alabama. Do any of you remember that bike that you drooled over as a kid? Have any of you ever been able to get that particular bike or car when you got older?
