Dude no way! I'm a 9er fan for life. Second Generation and proud of it.

I just hate that damn city's politics and social cry babies.

These are the same creeps who when offered an Iowa class battleship as a floating museum/exhibit rejected it, too militaristic for the leftists in the land of fruits, flakes and nuts. Pathetic.

How does CA constantly elect dysfunctional politicians? CA's Congressional delegation is a joke, Maxine Waters an admitted soicalist, gun banners Boxer and Slimestain and many more. Don

I mean, why not? You've already banned everything else that stands for Freedom, San Francisco.

Jesus. I love my 9ers and Giants for life. But there's not one ounce of love for that city in my heart beyond that.
So, I thought we were very states/local municipalities rights here and that they (the state/local governing body) should be able to pick and choose where the Feds were present and where they should back off? I am not pro banning the blue angels at all but it does raise an interesting question about where the Feds should be able to force their will if a majority of citizens in the area disagree. This is interesting to me because my uncle recently gave me a book by a person that goes by the nom de plume of Boston t party and discusses the viability of like minded libertarians gathering together in first a specific city and working towards taking over an entire state with the ultimate goal of telling the Feds to pound sand in exchange for rejecting all federal aid. I'd assume they'd want the blue Angels gone as well and would limit the Feds to powers explicitly outlined in the constitution and I'm curious if the blue Angels would pass that test.

While I disagree with 99% of the laws San Fran passes and find it hypocritical they want to so tightly control their citizenry while throwing off the yolk of federal oppression, it is enlightening fodder for conversation on all sides.

Do you have a link handy to this? It is interesting where they welcome/do not welcome the Feds. Remember when they wanted to have bush declared a war criminal?

That councilman sounds like a real swell fella. Maybe he could go hang out on the piers and look for an illegal immigrant...

Doesn't strafe technically mean to attack from the air with bombs or machine guns, from a low-flying aircraft?

Yeah, that would get old.

Even Montana had the good sense to get the F out!

The problem is not really if they want to ban the flights for some sort of public safety reason. The problem is the one knuckle head and his anti-American rhetoric. He should move to a Communist paradise and leave us alone. Look at his tweets quoted in the article.

About the last thing that would keep me loyal to a city would be sports teams.
The guy you love who's on your team this year, will be playing for the team you hate next year if offered more money. They don't care, why should I?

I was born in California. . . but I'm really hoping for the day when we can just spin it off as it's own country full of crazies. Kinda like the way the British Empire used Australia back in the days. Let's extend the border wall from Mexico, up across the California border and let no one cross!

Right. I'm not disagreeing with that (I think the guy is pretty out there) but I'm also only addressing the actual right of a state or municipality and when they can tell the Feds to pound sand. It's actually a very interesting question if you think about it.

So merely flying over San Fran equals "strafing the city"???

I suppose he also feels that merely driving on his city streets equals "running down his residents"?

Sigh.

If someone cares to, will you please explain to him the concept of loyalty and love towards a sports team? Surely there are plenty of you here who's teams you love, who happen to inhabit a less-than-desirable city full of BS politics and social nannies.

I would, but I've already argued over stupid chit this morning on this forum with other folks, and I just don't have the energy anymore.
