    Just discovered this guy... writes military scifi. Very good, if you like David Weber, he's sort of his protege. He was Airborne, so he gets it mostly right.

    He has a bit too much of the sly "wink wink" attitude that a lot of the 70's sci-fi guys had (Niven, Pournelle) on occasion, but he is pretty fun for a light read.

    Pretty good military SF, I like his stuff. Along with his mentor David Weber.

    Pournelle and Niven put out some pretty good stuff too. Pournelle especially does military SF well.

    I just finished Cally's War. Interesting is all I can say about it. It didn't grab me like the other Posleen War books. It's not a Posleen War novel though, but related to it. In the future, Cally and her Grandpa plus some others are operatives for Bane Sidhe and they conduct espionage and assassination against their shadow competitors.

    For some reason, the character Cally is horny all the time and goes around picking up one-nighters left and right. Man, I wish that was true in real life.
