I went for a jog today and didnt bring my G26 that usually goes with me 24/7. It felt funny being without it? It has been cold obviously so I would use a shoulder holster with th etiny G26 and a sweat shirt. Nobody could see it.

Now that its hotter (80 degrees in Nevada) I am going out with a T-short and shorts. All my holsters feel bulky and bouncy when running except the shoulder rig. I guess I could run with a fanny pack or small back pack?

    Any tips?

your shoulder holster will chafe badly if you run for any amount of time,

also it will gross eventually from the sweat and moisture ..

i find a "day planner" held in your hand works and will hold a water bottle and cell phone / keys ..

My LCP in my Nemesis holster works just fine. That's the only gun I can jog with though. I've tried the Crossbreed Supertuck with a G26 or G27 and it's just not nearly as comfortable. And sweats too much for me.

When I retired form the Army I vowed to never run another step unless I was on fire, and I keep plenty of fire extinguishers around to prevent having to run far. If i was going to run, I would either open carry, or run with a fanny pack, or what I do when mountain biking, I drop a G27 in the back pocket of my camelback mule. Slow presentation, but faster than running all the way back to the house to get it...

I do not run very often. But when I do I carry my G29 in a CB Supertuck. I run on logging roads around my house, so 10mm would be necessary for the local wildlife (bears/cougars) I have not seen any but I have seen their tracks and scat.

I used to run alot....marathons, tri's, that sort of thing but 3 knee ops and piriformis turned me into a fitness paddler. Anyway, I did alot of trail running and with dope growers, meth freaks and mountain lions to worry about I found that a small Camelbak with the pouch worked for longer runs and a good fanny pack worked for shorter, 1-1 1/2 hour runs.
G26....don't leave home without it. I ran past some strange dudes thinking, "Man! Would they be in for a surprise!" If I were female, no way I'd go running without a firearm. Look what happened to the poor 17 year old gal in Southern California.

Fanny pack, as much as I hate them.
For cycling, I just use the camelback or messenger bag.

I would think a j-frame or a small auto in a fanny pack would be the way to go.

I actually carry pepper spray. My major problem is my neighbors pit bull and german shepard. they chase me and if they bite me, they are getting the gas!!

if they bite you they should get a knife in the neck or a bullet in the head

+ 1 for the camel back. This is the most effective way I have found.

This is pretty much how I do it, without the shirt tucked in and G27 in OWB holster. Light 511 tactical belt and 511 shorts. Secure and fast to get to.

There are fanny packs with internal holsters for concealed carry. They're the only thing that works for me.

I've thought about open carrying around here because of the dogs and the fact that I don't have a CCP. I'm not really worried about the people, it's the dogs that I need make me feel the need to start carrying. In fact I'm thinking about buying a good sling for a shotgun and lugging that around, those dogs are usually just too fast for accurately shooting a handgun IMO, lol.

I don't carry when I run. I don't want any extra weight and I'm not worried about trouble when I run. If I were inclined to carry something it would probably be pepper spray and a cell phone.

I wear my LCP in a belly band holster every day when I run. It's easily concealable with running shorts and a T-shirt.
