Really weird dude.
Swing away Merill.
That is just one of...
The best trailer ever!!
No matter the movie, whether good or bad, his characters are always memorable. Sometimes long after people may forget everything else about the particular movie. What more can an actor seriously interested in the craft ask?
He did a fantastic job playing the role of Johnny Cash.
Make sure to watch "You Were Never Really Here." Phoenix is amazing in that movie. Enough that I was moved to post about it here:
I also really enjoyed his "rapper" phase, when he said he was done with acting. Everyone thought he'd lost his mind, but that already happened a looooooong time ago. The appearance on Letterman during that weirdness was amazing.
I think those two characteristics are pretty closely related.
And Emperor Commodus.
No sh*t! I thought he had gone full Andy Kauffman! I had a feeling next time we were going to hear about his suicide.
I don't think he'll do it as well as Heath Ledger, who surprised me. But I don't doubt he do well.
The script is some weird twisted take on the character not in the vein of any other Batman movie allegedly. Should be interesting.
Ledger gave us an excellent portrayal of a younger, dark and borderline snarky Joker. Malevolent with a Millennial flavor.
I suspect that Joaquin Phoenix will give us a more mature, more polished and dark sociopath, with the requisite amount of sardonic mirth.
Why did you chose me?
I was told you were brutal.
I can be.

The Joker trailer looks damn good.
When I saw Jack, said nobody will ever do it better. Then Ledger knocked it out of the park. Now I'm not so sure, Phoenix can take a character wherever he wants to, may raise the bar yet again.
I like all the big words
After seeing the trailer, might be the most depressed crowds ever leaving a comic book movie.
Of course I didn’t go see that captain marvel girl, so I could be wrong.
