JHP FOR 3.6 INCH BARREL

    May we please have your experienced opinion on a JHP for 40sw with a 3.6 inch barrel - home defense, ccw? M&P 2.0 40sw

    124 grain Plus-P JHP or 247 grain HST should be good choices.

    Thanks Mas, but those are 9 mm - I was asking about your opinion on 40sw Jhp for the sw 2.0 3.6 barrel in 40sw

    Arrgghh, mea culpa.
    Most any of the modern loads like HST have been engineered to open at slightly lower velocities from shorter barrels. Try 165 and 180 grain and see what works best for you in terms of recoil and point of aim/point of impact. When I carried a G27 a lot, I usually loaded it with 155 grain Winchester Silvertip...laser accurate in that particular 27, if a bit snappy, but hard to find today.
