Does anybody know of some good sources for used books by the late Jack O'Connor? He was shooting editor of Outdoor Life in my misspent youth. Also, what about some of Elmer Keith's books. Yes, I know that the two of them feuded for years over the .270, etc.

I've got a copy of The Hunting Rifle that I found at a used bookstore in Mesa, Arizona. It's a really great resource, although some may find it antiquated. I want to tag this thread because I would be interested in finding other books by him myself.

Look around at gunshows, the used book dealers usually have an O'Connor book or two around.

Jack lived about 100 miles from me back in the mid to late 70s. A friend and I had the bright idea of driving to his hometown to see if we could meet him. When we located his house we knocked on the door and Jack responded. For the next 90 minutes he autographed our books and told us hunting stories. To a 20 year old kid he was a hero. Sadly, he passed away a couple of years later while on a cruise. Sorry if I bored you with my story.

Sorry for the follow-up post. I should have added that my experience with alibris has always been good. Have never had a problem ordering from them.
