Just put a certain sandpaper grip on
my 26 ( not a good idea ) for conceal
carry. Carried for about 3 hours in my
mtac and my side is raw and shirt almost
tore.I left it on the back and front finger
section to try that. It works great for grip
    but not to carry.

I have had the same issue. It actually wrecked one of my good bolsters, and I've avoided it since. Stick with stock or at the most a houge handall/innertube style grip enhancer.

Try Agrip - I have it on my G22 and I love it. Everyone who has seen it feels the same way.

I heat stippled my G27 grip. I know a lot of people on here disagree with this method because of lost resale value and personal perference. But for me, my gun is not about resale, it's about saving a life. I want to be able to hold onto it if I grab for it with sweaty hands, and stock Glock grips just don't cut it! The stippling job gives it just enough grip with out being abbrasive at all, if that makes sense. The Kholster also gives you protection from the grip surface with its full leather wrap.

Here are a couple pics so you can see my carry setup:

my buddy had the same problem with his grips rubbing his side raw.... he took some black spray paint and sprayed the sandpaper very lightly.... it wound up making the surface less abrasive but still left enough grit to provide a solid sweaty-hand grip....

I'll second the recommendation for the Agrip. I have the Talon Grips (skateboard tape type) for my home defense gun. But, the Agrip, which is sort of like a waterproof velour, is on my IWB carry gun. The Agrip will not abrade anything and be very comfortable.

Both types of grips are excellent in the right application. But, for IWB carry, definitely try the Agrip.
