Wal-Mart it's just not happening in my area, the gun shops are more expensive but at least they have ammo, good thing I only shoot about 4 times a year.

I mainly use my local gun stores which is not that overpriced...in fact I think it is priced pretty fairly...

I stopped bothering with Walmart...I never really shop there anyways so it was too much of a hassle to go and check it out...sometimes i'll call early sat/sun to check

I'm surprised more ammo companies haven't been started. You could make a killing in this market.

The Walmart near me is slowly keeping stuff in stock, execpt for 9mm and .45. I generally purchase .40, and is usually sitting on the shelf 90% of the time I check.

Ammo is expensive everywhere. Try your local Academy Sports or luckygunner.com

I got in good with the guy at my local wally world an he gives me a ring when he sees a shipment coming in. It may take some time but once you get in good I find they will treat your right.

Click on Palmetto State Armory (sponsor's link above) and you'll see a whole foot locker full. I did, and it worked.

I have had luck getting both .380 and 9mm lately at my local Meijers (local chain stores that are similar to a Walmart supercenter).

    9mm for $0.20 a shot and .380 for $0.34 a shot. I am pretty happy finding that.

Yeah, I gave up trying to find ammo at stores too. That's why I took up reloading. Now I have ammo coming out of my ears.

I don't buy factory ammo, except 22LR but I've noticed Wal Mart still has little 9mm, 38, 45, etc.
Last time I was in another store in town they had most everything at a decent price, like $11-$12 for 9mm.

I give the new shooters ammo, 22, 38, 9mm, 45, .223. Lucky I load it so cheap, because they have gone through that can of 38 Special, part of the big can of 45 and part of the can of 9mm and a gallon bottle of .223.
Time to crank up the loading press.:)
