2 inches an hour and counting, probably 6-8 inches right now and no signs of it letting up. Coming down so hard the defrosters in the car can't keep up. And yet morons still call because their husband won't stop pestering them cause he's drunk. I hate people. That is all.

    Re: the other thread, eh?

On the OP, stay safe. We have a little here. And, I am getting ready to go to the big house and watch it fall from there.

We already had our requisite one day of snow per season here in Tejas.

What is this "snow" you speak of?

Frozen water. It falls from the sky, apparently in massive quantities tonight. I just got back to the station after a suicide attempt call, spent 20 mintues digging the cars out to get there, then the ambulance got stuck while there.

I know you Kalifornians aren't familiar, but here in the free part of the country we do get some accumulation on occasion. Of course you are probably still wearing short sleeves, so I expect no sympathy.

Would public works snow plow driver qualify as a career? I'm seriously considering hopping in with one of them to get to calls.

Today is the first day in about 3-4 weeks that there has really been no snow on the ground. It finally looks about melted off.

We aren't wearing short sleeves, it's been dipping into the low 50s at night and we're freezing to death. I had a mock turtle sweater, scarf, and gloves on today.

I bet we have close to 15 inches here in central PA right now. I went out first thing this morning after I woke up and shoveled my truck out and cleaned the outside of it off. I also had to shovel and salt the front porch. We got blasted here last night with the stuff and I am loving every minute of it.

I wish we only had 15 inches here. I'm in Martinsburg, WV and we have about 36 inches on the ground. We're completely hosed for the next several days. As I'm on-call 24/7 I brough home my laptop so I can at least try to address things when the bat-phone rings.

Yep, York County got plenty. Our apartment has a long shared driveway...i'm not looking forward to clearing it all. We flagged down a plow last time

Oh and for those of you wondering, we still haven't had frost a single time in 2010 here in Seattle.

It rained again last night... really hard. Actually hard enough to wake me up. The rain drops were making big impact noises... *pak pak pak* as it hit.

    Freaked my dog out.
