My mom is into those kinda traditions for today's meal too. Give me a pizza. That's my tradition ;f
Country pork ribs and saurkraut in the slow cooker. I'll make red beans or black eyed peas and rice later.
After prime rib, I think corned beef is my next favorite meat.
Black eyed peas and greens for me.
Spareribs and sauerkraut
or Sausage and Lentils if I'm feeling particularly Italian that day
Funny you should mention this. Had spare ribs and sauerkraut tonight for supper. It was delicious.
I really like the traditional stuff, but you know, I just wasn't feelin' it this year.
Instead I had lemon pepper chicken breasts, lightly battered & sauteed in EVOO & butter and spaghetti alla carbonara (pasta tossed in bacon/pancetta & its' drippings, then mixed w/ eggs, cream & parmigiano reggiano cheese), along with a tasty salad and crusty garlic bread. ^7
