A surplus of cash and a great deal on a gun cannot occur at the same time.
I've been waiting on getting paid for some extra work for 2 months now. I had about figured I wasn't going to get paid, then the money shows up 2 days ago. I had already decided if I got paid it was going for a new pistol, so I had started shopping and I found numerous good deals on used glocks. 2 of the deals I found on the day BEFORE i got the money were a 95% G23 with 3 mags for 400$ and a "great condition" g-23 with 13 mags:wow: and 2 holsters for 425$... he needed the money that day, I didn't have it....YET

So i've spent the last 2 days looking, money in hand. I've found such ummm "bargains" as a barely used G22 with 2 mags for 600$ :wow:and a gen 1 G-23 with 2 mags for 525$.

    I believe it's called the bargain/cash continuum or something:whistling:

    LOl

that is all,... oh wait unless you have a "great condition" g-23 with 13 mags:wow: and 2 holsters for sale at 425$...cause I have the money now...

You are 100% correct in believing that there must be a law. There is, and it is called MURPHEY'S. Hope you can track down that super deal....

Keep looking, deals are out there (well, maybe not $425 w/ 13 mags, that's just ridiculous!)...

    Try here, he's always got clean used Glocks: www.summitgunbroker.com - (actually just checked - how's a 23 for $389 or a 22 for $365 sound???)

Thanks, Ill look at that site. Part of the reason I'm trying the classifieds is whenever possible I like guns that are not registered to me, but ill take any good deal.

Nothing shady about it, I just recognize the pattern of the loss of gun rights. Register them, restrict them, then take them. I follow the law, I just count it as a plus if I don't have to pay 30$ to let them know just where to come get it when they decide too. Paranoid? maybe, Shady or nefarious? No.

As far as I am aware a FTF gun sale is legal and I am 100% legal to own and buy firearms and have never nor do I intend to commit any crime. So where do you come off calling it shady, suspect and etc?

It actually sickens me that people on a gun related site don't think similarly on this subject. SAD

Hey I also purchase all firearms privately. I don't want anything in my name either. Nothing illegal or shady about it at all. Plus like Ricky I always get the best deals privately, guy needs cash, wife says gun has to go etc. etc..

I've just recently started buying and trading privately again. Got a brand new G35 with 3 mags last week for $450. Shot my best IPSC match ever with it Tuesday night.

There are still probably 30 form 4473's with my signature floating around, though.

Good luck. A deal will come along.

FYI, at least in Texas, guns aren't "registered" to anyone. Your name is on the sales slip, but it's not registered.

Now if I crime is committed with the gun, they can trace it to you, so if you sell a gun you bought, keep the paperwork.

People like this also don't care to talk about it much. I can take it or leave it. I don't put my personal business on "main street" either.

Just 'cause we're on a gun site doesn't mean we have to wear tinfoil hats.

Now that I see the explanation, it makes perfect sense. Without the reasoning behind the comment, it sure sounded shady as heck to me!

My apologies if I offended you.
